A civil talk with gemstone moments. Childs participated cautiously throughout the conversation. Glass opened up answering questions from audience members.

It’s always interesting to hear artists discuss their work. Glass and Childs, two artists whose personalities or perspectives might not be immediately apparent through their work, were both funny and insightful. A really great opportunity.

The discussion of “Dance” was informative; it continued and enhanced the overall experience from the previous evening’s performance. It was a privilege to hear Childs and Glass reflect on the work’s construction from the perspective of choreographer and composer.

It was great to hear Philip Glass and Lucinda Childs for real and not just on some screen. Childs came across as being guarded and Glass, bored although one can see that there is a humerous side to his personality. I thought the talk was quite good as it made us aware of a number of things regarding their work and experiences. What was particularly great was the audience interaction with these artistes. Men as old as Glass, who had attended his concert many years ago were so excited on seeing him again. Two ladies seated ahead of me couldn’t stop discussing the change in Glass’ looks! It was a great session.
