DURATION 1.5 hours
LOCATION Arts Hall, ACES/ECA, 55 Audubon Street (entrance on Orange Street)
Join the New England Foundation for the Arts and dance professionals from the region and the state for a two-day Connecticut Dance Exchange that will feature a public showcase program of dance artists from New England exploring the themes of dance and technology in their work. Participating artists include Kinodance Company (Boston, MA), known for creating immersive, filmic dance environments that erase the boundaries between dance and cinema, and Nell Breyer (Boston, MA) a choreographer and media artist who creates installations and interactive performance pieces. Kinodance and Breyer will be joined by Connecticut dance artists Lisa Race, NoeMarch Dance Company, Adam Miller Dance Project and Scapegoat Garden. The performance will take place on Tuesday, June 24 at 1 pm at ECA Arts Hall and is free to the public; no reservations necessary. In addition to the performance, there will be a professional forum for presenters, educators, journalists and artists involved in dance in Connecticut. For information about the professional forum, contact the New England Foundation for the Arts, jmarx@nefa.org.
