Year-round Positions


Patron Services Associate

Description: The Patron Services Associate position will provide executive and administrative support to the Festival’s Development team and will assist with all aspects of the Festival’s development plan including assisting with preparing solicitations, managing the Development office timeline and mailings schedule, and supporting and executing special events. The Patron Services Associate will be responsible for maintaining the Festival’s Development database on Raiser’s Edge and Ovation and will also assist with the creation of Festival communications. The Patron Services Associate will act as the primary office manager and maintain routine office functions and distribute Festival mail. Read the complete position description (pdf)


  • Development experience preferred, arts related work experience preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior database work required, Raiser’s Edge and Ovation experience desired
  • Individuals with degrees in the arts, communications, or business/management are strongly preferred

Seasonal Festival Positions

Box Office Manager

The Festival Box Office Manager is a full-charge position, responsible for all aspects of ticketing and customer service for the 2016 International Festival of Arts & Ideas.
Responsibilities include building all events, venues, packages, and discounts into OvationTix, the Festival’s online ticketing system; handling phone sales and customer inquiries; establishing and managing multiple walk-up sales locations; reconciling and reporting ticket sales activity; and hiring, training, scheduling, and managing an audience services team of 10+ employees. Theatrical box office, House Management, or related theatre experience is required. The successful candidate will be familiar with ticketing software and/or other online database platforms, have an excellent understanding of box office and front-of-house operations, the proven ability to build and manage a team or employees, and a strong customer-service focus.

Graphic Design Intern

Non-paid internship; course credit may be available
The Graphic Design Intern will assist with the planning, creation, and implementation of the Festival’s marketing activities, with particular focus on graphic design and production. The Graphic Design Intern will undertake various graphic design projects for Festival collateral, including the production of advertising materials, collateral (posters, handouts, flyers, etc), and signage (large and small scale).

Requirements: Ability to think creatively while also producing professional materials within established templates and brand guidelines. Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop & InDesign) in a Windows environment; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with efficiency and poise. Strong organizational and collaborative skills. Web design and content management skills a plus.
