The Festival offers many opportunities for members of our community to learn from professional artists and perform their work at the Festival.
13 performances, hundreds of citizen participants and the thousands of prayer ties that have graced New Haven during the
613 Radical Acts of Prayer project will come together and culminate in a grand performance on the New Haven Green to close this year's
International Festival of Arts & Ideas.
Join us and the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange by becoming a part of our Grand Finale! On wheels or on foot,
come to the Fountain on the Green at 3:30pm tomorrow for our dress rehearsal,
wearing white. You will learn basic choreography, or be one of the carriers of our thousands of prayer ties. No performance or dance experience is necessary. The Finale will begin at 7pm in the churches on Temple Street, process onto the lower Green, and finish on stage with a performance by the Dance Exchange.
The Parish House at 311 Temple Street will be available at 3:00pm for participants to drop off their belongings. We encourage you to leave your valuables at home.
This event will continue rain or shine to the greatest extent possible.
If you still have
prayer ties, please return them today by 6:30pm to the Festival Info Tent on the Green near the main stage on the corner of Church and Elm.
