Allison Hadley, PhD, is a writer, musician, critic, journalist, and home cook. An avid enthusiast of words, she first studied them, eventually obtaining a PhD in Italian Language & Literature from Yale. Then, she proceeded to write them, first as a freelance arts & food journalist for a variety of publications, and now as a PR and Marketing professional. A resident of New Haven since 2008, she loves the Elm City with every inch of her heart, particularly its lively music community and excellent food scene. With wide ranging interests from food systems and agriculture to film studies, she enjoys good conversations, good food, and (in non-pandemic times) playing her banjo with friends.
