The International Festival of Arts & Ideas offers a number of opportunities for local and regional performers on our stages. These opportunities allow performers to grow artistically, expand their networks, and enjoy new performance opportunities. (Headline and main stage events are curated separately by Festival staff.)
Paid Opportunities: 2018
Artists may submit performance proposals for inclusion in the 2018 Festival. (The Festival’s ticketed and headline performance program is curated by our programming staff.) All performances will be booked on one of the Festival’s outdoor stages located on the New Haven Green. Modest performance fees are available, however, these opportunities are typically best suited to performers who reside in and around Connecticut and the Northeast Corridor as we do not offer transportation or accommodations to artists for these programs. Festival performance dates are June 9-22.
All Ages Performances
Performances in this series occur on one of the Festival’s outdoor stages located on the New Haven Green and should be suitable for an all-ages audience. Performances will be scheduled throughout the Festival, both weekday and weekend performance slots will be booked. We are particularly interested in groups performing original work. Artists will be booked for sets usually 60 minutes in length.
The Family Series is geared toward younger audiences (generally 8 years and under). Programming can be a combination of performances, workshops or other interactive types of entertainment. The Family Series consists of 45-60 minute sets each Tuesday-Friday at 1:15 pm.
