Fall 2010 Arts & Ideas Fellowship Program graduation

On December 21, 2010 the Fall 2010 Festival Fellows graduated from the program with an official citation from the city of New Haven Board of Alderman. See the pictures below of the group of proud graduates with their awards, presented by Festival board member Andrea Jackson-Brooks. Their citation reads: "The Board of Aldermen of the City of New Haven congratulate you on completing the International Festival of Arts & Ideas Fellowship Program specifically designed to give high school juniors and seniors exposure to careers in the arts, as they prepare to pursue college and/or enter the workforce. The program combines instruction in critical writing, non-profit management and various performing arts disciplines, with opportunities for job shadowing and hands-on work experience around Festival events. Success is achieved through vision, inspiration, and resilient determination. We applaud you for the efforts you put forth in preparing for this accomplishment. May your dreams take you to the highest of your hopes and to the most special place your heart has ever known. Congratulations on your wonderful achievement and best wishes for a bright future."
