Abigail O’Keefe (she/her/hers) is a New Haven native with a deep love for art of all kinds. Growing up in the Fair Haven neighborhood, Abigail honed her passion for music at Cooperative Arts and Humanities Magnet High School and performed with the United Choir School throughout her adolescence. College took her up to Boston for a spell. After her freshman year she was lucky enough to intern at Arts & Ideas during the 2013 festival. From there she spent time in New York before finishing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Psychology at Southern Connecticut State University. Abigail has an extensive background in hospitality from her years working in restaurants around New Haven. Over the past several years, she dove into the nonprofit world with positions in communications and development.
Abigail is thrilled to continue her journey with Arts & Ideas. Some of her fondest childhood memories are of family outings on The Green during the festival. Being part of the team that gives such a prolific and beloved gift to our city each year is a dream come true.
On weekends, Abigail can be found running the local supporters group for the London based Football Club, Arsenal. Her other passions include photography, embroidery, live music, watching all the soccer she can, tending to her houseplants, and secondhand bookstores with good coffee.
