Amid the pandemic, The Festival Fellows participated in the Babel Film Workshop global stay-at-home filmmaking initiative, Film Stylo. Their films, made as part of the initiative, are featured here and on the Film Stylo international archive of student films documenting their lives during this historical time. Below is Aime's Film Stylo project.
Aime (he, his), is a current junior at Hill Regional Career High School. Aime is a lead apprentice at NXTHVN and a high school Fellow at Arts Ideas, a self-taught visual artist; a drawer, a painter, and an illustrator. He plays soccer for fun. Regarding his future outlook, Aime wants to master in the business field, hoping to become an entrepreneur someday while doing art on the side, as it’s his passion and what drove him to find hope. During the high school Fellowship program, Aime has learned leadership and teamwork. Fun fact about Aime is that he can understand and speak approximately 4 languages; Swahili, Kibembe, French, and English. He’s currently looking to do murals around the city and express his works during these times in crisis.
