Bittersweet News From Our Codirectors

To our dear friends,

We are writing to share some news that is both exciting and bittersweet to us: We have led this organization together and as we look towards our future, it feels right for us as partners and for the Festival to hand off leadership together. So, we have decided to lead a two-year plan to ensure a smooth transition of new Festival leadership as we prepare to retire in 2021.

We will remain in our positions as Co-Directors full time through the completion of the Festival’s 25th Anniversary Season, running June 13–27, 2020, and continue to participate in the operations of the organization into 2021. The international search will launch in the coming weeks for the Festival’s new executive leadership; it will be guided by Arts Consulting Group and led by its President, Dr. Bruce D. Thibodeau.

The Festival has meant so much to us personally, not to mention to the thousands of Festival audiences from around the world and from our own backyard—and especially to you, who have supported the Festival and us for so many years. It’s an honor for us that our last full season will mark the 25th Anniversary of Arts & Ideas.

Thank you so much for your support, and we hope to see you in June!

Yours,
Tom and Liz
