  • Politics Gets Personal (Q&A with the filmmakers follows screening)                    What would our politics look like if we took democracy seriously?  Cynthia Farrar is a longtime New Haven resident, civic entrepreneur, and small-d democrat.  Since 2007, when she co-founded Purple States TV, she’s been a producer on a mission: to give ordinary people a chance to be heard on the issues that affect us.   She’ll screen mini-documentaries featured on the websites of the New York Times, TIME, and Politico Magazine.

  • ​​Making the Video (Dustin Gavin, 2017) – 15min – World Premiere
  • Travel Light (Lindsay Thompson, 2016) – 94min – New Haven Premiere (Q&A with the filmmakers follows screening)                                                                               A small team of young American filmmakers backpack 500 miles across Spain’s Camino de Santiago, attempting to capture not only their own experience, but also the intimate stories of the pilgrims who journey from all over the world to seek truth on the Camino.
