It turns out the oldest recipes in the world still hold up! The Peabody Museum, home of the world-famous Babylonian Collection of over 45,000 artifacts, showcases 3D replicas of 4,000 year old Babylonian recipe tablets while you dine on dishes cooked according to these very same recipes by chefs from Sanctuary Kitchen. A program of CitySeed in partnership with a network of community volunteers, Sanctuary Kitchen promotes and celebrates the culinary traditions, cultures, and stories of refugees resettled in Connecticut. After a brief presentation on the tablets, members of Sanctuary Kitchen will share stories and memories of their cuisine and offer insight into the refugee experience.
