Blue Orchid

Kyu Tipjak, Chef and Co-owner of Blue Orchid, is a native of Chiang Mai Thailand where he acquired a love of food from his family’s cooking. He has a degree in food science and technology from Chiang Mai University in Thailand. His path in food service has been varied but eventually let him and his husband,Michael Flora, to open Blue Orchid New Haven. On the menu are some of Kyu’s favorite comfort foods from across all of Asia. To him it is all about the customer experience and a labor of love.
