Universal Sounds

Universal Sounds’ performers Nate and Marcus will perform current and historical Top 40 music, utilizing current music technology and devices such as digital keyboards, electronic drums and percussion and computers. The performance is a fun, entertaining and often danceable flow of music and demonstration.

Nate Barnes

Nate Barnes is a music industry professional who is well known for his skills as a musician, professional producer and music programmer. Nate is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has a degree in Professional Music and Music Business Management. He has played with many Grammy Award-winning artists, such as Andre Crouch, Bishop Hezekiah Walker and The Winans. He has also performed alongside George Clinton, Judy Collins, George Duke, Joe Sample and many others. He has been featured in various publications including the Connecticut Post, New York Times, and The Boston Globe. He was also a subject in the book, Teens with Physical Disabilities, written by Glenn Cheney. Nate was also honored on behalf of the State of Connecticut by the Music and Arts Center for Humanity with the 2009 Pat Hart Award, recognizing his outstanding commitment to the arts. He was also awarded the Keys to the City of Bridgeport for his dedicated service to Neighborhood Studios and the young people in the community. November 12, 2011 was declared Nate Barnes Day by the City of Bridgeport.

Marcus Allen
