Katrice Kemble, Associate Director of Development

Katrice Kemble (she/her) became part of the Arts & Ideas team in 2016 as a Ticket Seller in the Box Office. She worked seasonally in the Audience Services department for five Festivals, filling the roles of House Manager, House Management Captain, and Assistant Audience Services Manager before joining the year-round staff as Development Operations Coordinator in the fall of 2021.

Katrice graduated summa cum laude from Boston University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Classical Civilizations and a minor concentration in Arts Leadership. While at BU, she sang in the salsa and Latin jazz ensemble Presencia, she co-founded and performed in the Greek dance troupe Φιλική Εταιρεία, and she was deeply involved in the Classics department’s annual Aristophanes (and later, Plautus) adaptation as writer, cast, and crew. Katrice earned her Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University, where she wrote a thesis on frontwomen in alternative metal bands and traveled to Indonesia to perform in the International Gamelan Festival.

Outside of work, Katrice enjoys spending time with her cats, Freya and Merlin, and her dog Prue. She loves animals and rides horses at Horseshoe Hill Equestrian Center in Durham, CT. She also organizes a weekly arts and crafts session, Wednesday Friendsday Art Night, in various locations around New Haven.
