Madeline Miranda, People Generalist

Madeline (Maddie) joined Arts & Ideas in the beginning of 2023 as People Generalist and Volunteer Coordinator. Maddie was born and raised in New Haven which allowed her passion for the arts to flourish. Her interest in the arts started at a young age through taking classes at Creative Arts Workshop, attending Arts & Ideas concerts on the Green and other community events. Maddie attended Educational Center for the Arts (ECA) for high school where she was part of the Visual Arts department. Not only did ECA help Maddie grow her artistic abilities and critical thinking skills, but it taught her that there are many career paths within the arts and emphasized the importance art holds within our community. Later on in her college career, Maddie discovered her love for volunteer work at Bryant University where she personally volunteered and coordinated volunteer opportunities with Special Olympics Rhode Island, the March of Dimes and Gotta have Sole.

Maddie graduated Bryant University with her bachelor’s in Communication and Human Resources. After graduation she worked at Yale New Haven Hospital in Volunteer Services & Patient Experience. Working at YNHH was a great opportunity to grow and bring her one step closer to her current role where she is able to combine her love for volunteer work and supporting others. Maddie’s goal for her future at Arts & Ideas is to continue learning new ways to better support the needs of the Arts & Ideas team as well as the New Haven Community.

Outside of work Maddie enjoys finding new and exciting events in the area, practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with her family.
