Gallery Talk, Poetry in the Galleries

Join poet Richard Deming, Senior Lecturer in English and Director of Creative Writing, Department of English, and Xiao Situ, Wurtele Gallery Teacher and M.A.R. Candidate, Institute of Sacred Music, Yale Divinity School, for readings of works by Emily Dickinson, Herman Melville, and Walt Whitman, discussed alongside and in connection to objects in the Gallery’s collection.

Offered in conjunction with the International Festival of Arts & Ideas and inspired, in part, by the June 20 world premiere of composer Martin Bresnick's oratorio Whitman, Melville, Dickinson - Passions of Bloom.
