New Haven, CT (February 12, 2026) — The International Festival of Arts & Ideas has been selected as a nominee for Best Art Festival in the prestigious USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards, a national recognition program that highlights outstanding attractions and cultural experiences across the country.

The nomination was determined by USA TODAY editors and a panel of subject matter experts, placing Arts & Ideas among the top art festivals nationwide.

Public voting is open now through Monday, March 2 at 11:59 AM EST. The top 10 winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 11. The public is encouraged to vote daily. (More than one vote is permissible per person.)

Each year, the International Festival of Arts & Ideas brings together artists, thinkers, and communities from across Connecticut and around the world for a celebration of performing arts, ideas, and civic dialogue. With more than 85 percent of its programming free and open to the public, the Festival has become a beloved cultural tradition on the New Haven Green and throughout the city’s neighborhoods.

“This nomination is a reflection of the artists, partners, volunteers, and community members who make Arts & Ideas what it is,” said Melissa Huber, the Festival’s managing director. “We’re honored to be recognized on a national stage and proud of the role this Festival plays in Connecticut’s cultural landscape.”

The USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards are designed to spotlight exceptional destinations and experiences that readers can trust. Participation is free, and nominations cannot be purchased.
