Perform On Make Music Day

IN-PERSON EVENT
Your safety is our top priority. For more information about our COVID safety policies & protocols, visit our public safety page.

Music director Roy Studmire will mix and master a layered recording of every single person who wants to make music in New Haven. Attendees are encouraged to bring whatever they use to make music and join a full professional band for a socially distanced afternoon of intermingling sounds as Roy captures it all. A non-recorded jam session will ensue, and eventually, an EP for and by the city of New Haven!

Record With Roy Studmire 3 PM - 6 PM

Seeking musicians and vocalists interested to work with a Music Producer, Roy Studmirr, to record tracks. A limited number of 20 minute recording sessions will be available! We will have a PA and some basic backline available including a keyboard, jazz/rock drum kit, mics, DIs and monitors. Make Music Day

The Arts Council invites you to celebrate Greater New Haven's 4th Annual Make Music Day celebration this June 21st. This is a part of the international Make Music Day movement to bring free, community-organized performances to over 800 locations across the globe on the summer solstice. Make Music Day events are organized with, for, and by the community. Performances are inclusive and accessible to all musicians - professional, emerging, or amateur. Events can happen in expected and unexpected places across the region, from sidewalks to community gardens, public parks to your front porch. Performers can live stream their concert live in-person (fingers crossed!) or virtually from home. Make Music New Haven intends to bring people together, boost creativity, and spread joy. We envision a renaissance of festivities! Step into summer, reconnect with beloved community, and unleash your inner rockstar!
